Getting started with Triastasis
Install the Windows release, set up the local runtime and AI models, and generate your first 3D asset.
Install the Windows alpha release
Triastasis 0.0.5 is the latest release for Windows x64. This is alpha software: bugs, rough edges and unexpected behavior may happen. Keep backups of important assets and report problems through GitHub Issues.
Choose the Windows x64 installer or the no-install ZIP. The ZIP stores runtime, models and configuration beside the executable, but shares the Windows Library with an installed copy. It is not an isolated Library or backup. Runtime and AI models download separately inside the app. The app exports static GLBs without rigging or animation. Binaries are unsigned and updates are installed manually.
What is new in 0.0.5
Model setup recognizes catalog bundles already in your selected folder, verifies checksums and shows storage use without moving files or changing your selection.
Generation recovery keeps results with their original asset grouping. Sweep inputs and filenames remain consistent, and preview saves preserve asset metadata. The viewer keeps each model's source image and mesh list separate from the next generation input and resets orthographic framing correctly.
Everyday dialogs share styling, button order and keyboard behavior. Operation errors stay visible in the open dialog, and generation-import dialogs stay open while busy, including after repeated Escape presses.
Updating an existing installation
Finish queued work and quit Triastasis from the system tray before installing the new desktop version. Triastasis 0.0.5 uses the unchanged 0.0.4 runtime. A matching installed runtime needs no update or download. Keep your existing model weights. Use Settings > Runtime to update an older runtime or switch a supported custom runtime. Vulkan, CUDA and CUDA 12 compatibility runtimes are available; ROCm remains experimental.
Prepare your machine
Onboarding detects your GPU and helps download a matching runtime. Review the model terms, select a storage folder, and download the AI model bundle. The app displays download sizes and verifies the files. Existing catalog bundles in the selected folder can be recognized and verified in place.
Check hardware and platform requirements
Generate your first asset
- Choose a clear image of one object.
- Start with a practical quality preset and generate locally.
- Inspect the result from several angles. Try clay or wireframe views to check its geometry.
- Keep useful candidates in the library and export a GLB for your next tool.
